Through Youth Empowerment
Speaker: Brian McMahon, Executive Director, Operation Fresh Start
Tuesday, January 14, 2025 | 11:30 am - 1:00 pm
The Madison Club, Madison, WI
How Operation Fresh Start (OFS), a Madison-based nonprofit, is addressing the pressing issue of skilled labor shortages in trades and construction. OFS empowers disconnected youth, ages 16 to 24, by providing hands-on job training in construction and conservation while helping participants complete their education.
Brian will discuss OFS's mission, the unique challenges faced by the young women they serve, and the successful outcomes achieved through their programs. The presentation will also explore how OFS is preparing the next generation of skilled workers to meet the demands of today’s workforce. Attendees will learn how the community can support OFS in its efforts to build a more skilled and diverse labor pool.
