Dinner and a Show with Forward Theater

Drinks and a Bite to Eat at Botanist Social, 6:00 p.m. | Artemisia Performance, 7:30 p.m.

Join TEMPO Madison's Networking Committee for a fun night at the theater on Wednesday, April 19.  We'll gather at Botanist Social for a pre-show bite (with a special appearance by Forward Theater Artistic Director Jen Uphoff Gray) and then head to the Overture Center to enjoy a performance of Artemisia in a TEMPO Madison seat block.

The performance begins at 7:30 p.m. and we plan to meet in the lobby of the Overture Center's Playhouse Theater (lower level of Overture) at 7:10 p.m.  

Tickets for the seat block are $30. Members will cover their own food and drink costs.  

About the Play

Forward Theater is proud to present the World Premiere of Artemisia, a new play by Lauren Gunderson (author of Silent Sky and I and You). Artemisia Gentileschi was the most celebrated female painter of the 17th century, yet her name is remembered by few. A work of humor and warmth that celebrates the courage, artistry, and humanity of a woman who attacked the glass ceiling with every brush stroke. Artemisia is presented as part of World Premiere Wisconsin.
