As a supplement to our April Luncheon with the Rape Crisis Center, we are offering a free Chimera self-defense class for members. 

Chimera® (ky-MEER-ah) is an empowerment self-defense program designed for women. RCC’s certified Chimera instructors are strong role models who teach awareness, assertiveness, and physical protection skills. They provide a safe space to examine personal experiences and feelings regarding any form of sexual violence. Safety and confidentiality are stressed throughout all courses.

Chimera teaches that everyone has the right and the ability to protect themselves. All techniques are easy to learn and use, and are designed to help the defender stop an attack and escape.
