Outspoken: Why Women’s Voices Get Silenced and How to Set Them Free

Why is it so many women aren’t being heard - at work, at home, and even on the political stage? And what can we do about it? Too often women are criticized if they do speak up as being too loud or pushy. Some are not taken seriously because of the sound of their voice. If they remain quiet, they are dismissed as being too meek. Veronica Ruekert will help us understand our reluctance to speak up and give us ways to reclaim our voice.

About our Speaker:

Veronica Rueckert is the author of “Outspoken: Why Women’s Voices Get Silenced and How to Set Them Free”. She is a Peabody Award-winning former Wisconsin Public Radio host, a trained opera singer, and a communications consultant. At At Veronica Rueckert Coaching, she delivers keynotes, conducts workshops and works with clients to help them discover the full power of their voices and bring joy to the act of speaking. She also leads media training and national media outreach at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Online registration will close at 5:00 pm on Monday, September 7.
