Join Mallards and Night Mares General Manager Samantha Rubin as she shares her journey to becoming the first female GM and the challenges she overcame in a male-dominated industry. Discover how the Madison Night Mares are making history and paving the way for the future of softball.

About Our Speaker: Samantha Rubin is the General Manager of the Madison Mallards, and the Madison Night Mares. She joined the Mallards in December 2021 and was promoted to General Manager in August 2022, becoming the fi rst female to hold this position in the team's history.

A native of Clearwater, Florida, Rubin graduated from the University of Florida. Her passion for sports is evident in her support for the Florida Gators, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tampa Bay Rays, and, of course, the Mallards and Night Mares. In her leisure time, she enjoys outdoor activities, working out, traveling, and spending time with her dogs, Stella and Slugger. Notably, she has climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and aspires to visit Everest Base Camp.

Under Rubin's leadership, the Madison Night Mares were named the Northwoods League Softball Organization of the Year in 2024. Additionally, Rubin was honored as the Executive of the Year for both Northwoods League Baseball and Softball, marking the first time an executive has received this distinction in both categories.
