Join us on Tuesday, March 14 for a presentation by Robert Reed, executive director of the Madison Symphony Orchestra. 

Currently celebrating its 97th season, the Madison Symphony Orchestra is one of the largest and most respected performing arts organizations in Wisconsin. On June 6, Robert Reed became the new Executive Director of the Madison Symphony Orchestra (MSO). Reed will share his experience of how an African American male growing up in the inner city became the Executive Director of the MSO. Reed will also share his insights about the past, present and the future of the MSO. He will address how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the MSO and what he is doing to overcome those challenges. Reed will also speak of the challenges in addressing needed change in a nonprofit organization and how to evolve an organization that it is looking to be strong and vibrant into the future.

About Robert Reed:

Robert A. Reed began his role as Executive Director of the Madison Symphony Orchestra (MSO) in June 2022. Robert comes to the MSO with over 32 years of orchestra and cultural arts management in a variety of roles, most recently, with the Plano Symphony Orchestra, in Plano, Texas. Experience includes successful fundraising and capital campaigns, long range strategy and artistic planning, labor relations, and extensive work building consensus and community engagement.

Attendance Options:

Our speaker will be appearing in-person at the Madison Club. Members can choose between attending in person or virtually. Guests are welcome to attend in person or virtually. 

In Person Luncheon Choices for March:

Regular Entrée: Fresh herb red wine marinated flat iron steak w/ seasonal veg, garlic mashed potatoes and herb mustard demi-glaze

Vegetarian Entrée: Butternut Squash ravioli w/ pesto pistachio cream, wilted greens, pecorino and crushed roasted pistachios

If you plan to attend in-person, you must register by Wednesday, March 8.
