Join us on Tuesday, November 8 for a presentation by Carol Griggs, associate executive director & director of operationsUniversity Health Services. She will discuss Leading in Complex Times. 

Leading has never been a simple task. It is often demanding and requires much energy, time, and motivation. When adding in the complexities of a changing world and changing expectations, leading becomes even more complicated. How can we adapt and lead when we move from one crisis to the next, as mental health concerns increase, and as the way the world functions keep changing? In this program, we will tackle this very dynamic -- how we lead others, care for ourselves, and care for those around us as we move our organizations from one crisis experience to the next.

About Carol Griggs:

Carol Griggs has worked in Public Health for more than 10 years with both civilian and military experience and has served in healthcare and non-profit leadership for more than 20 years. Carol is a social and behavioral health scientist who has served a key role on the UW Madison COVID response team. She has also done extensive work in the area of health and wellbeing for students, staff and faculty and has served in leadership roles with the American College Health Association for the past 5 years. Carol has presented at conferences and has taught courses in health and wellbeing, more notably focusing much of her efforts over the past 2 years to helping many people think through not only living through the pandemic but processing how we feel about the experience and the impact that has had on us mentally, physically, and emotionally.

Attendance Options:

Our speaker will be appearing in-person at the Madison Club. Members can choose between attending in person or virtually. Guests are welcome to attend in person or virtually.
