April 2019 Luncheon Registration
Please join us on Tuesday, April 9 to hear Yoyi Steele present What’s Happening with Birds in Wisconsin?
Please plan to meet at The Madison Club at 11:30 am for networking; lunch will be served at noon. Please register by Thursday, April 4.
Spring bird migration is underway. Many of the early birds will soon be arriving in Wisconsin. And of course, certain species stayed with us all winter. How did they fare? How healthy are our bird populations? Which birds are threatened or endangered and why? What birds are doing extremely well? What can we do to help our feathered friends? Our speaker has worked on the Wisconsin Bird Conservation Initiative for the Department of Natural Resources and is a self-described “Bird Geek”. Yoyi Steele will tell us what is happening with birds in Wisconsin and why everyone, not just birdwatchers, should care.
Yoyi Steele is an avian conservation biologist and former coordinator of the Wisconsin Important Bird Area Program and former staff member of the Wisconsin Bird Conservation Initiative with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
